She stood there, stunned, staring at the sea, just silently watching. Who still did that these days?
It was such a beautiful phenomena to be just silently amazed. No one needed words to describe amazement – simply because there there are none.
She stood there for a long moment, a calm expression in her face. Her friend looked at her, at the sea and back at her. “Wow.” she’d said at one point. “It’s so amazing. Really pretty.” But all she got as an answer was silence.
After a while she looked away from the sea , took a deep breath and looked at her friend. “Okay.” she said calmly. “Let’s go.” Her friend walked ahead and she took another short moment to pull in the feeling. I walked up to her and smiled: “Is it the first time you see the sea?” I asked. She looked at me and shook her head smiling. “I live here.”
