Ash – A poem under the fireworks

The road is full of ash

Even before the sky turns to black

When all joy and laughter is done

The fire in the sky is finally gone

The music in our ears slowly dies

No more drunken, happy smiles

We fall and wake amongst our trash

And still the world is full of ash
